What you'll do
Proactively identify and engage high-potential prospects using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and insights from the lead generation team.
Guide and support Partners to showcase Optus' value effectively, develop strategic account plans, and complete with consistency.
Translate technical solutions and capabilities into business value, helping Mid-Market customers make confident, future-ready investment decisions.
Ensure a smooth handover to Account Managers and other internal collaborators, aiding in building trust and continuity from initial interaction to sustained commitment.
Harness Optus' hospitality experiences, executive sponsors, and technical experts to compose compelling, relationship-led sales motions.
Why you should be our next State Business Development Manager
You are an ambitious and proven sales professional with a strong background in ICT sales, including essential experience in the telecommunications (Telco) industry, and a deep understanding of mid-market customer needs. Your ability to successfully implement sales strategies and cultivate positive relationships sets you apart.
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, ICT, or a related field; MBA or sales/tech certifications preferred.
10 years of experience in B2B sales or business development, with a proven track record in complex solution selling and partner co-selling.
Demonstrable Telco industry experience is essential.
Proficient knowledge of ICT solutions (mobile, fixed, cloud, data) and mid-market customer requirements.
Skilled in identifying customer needs and positioning complex ICT and whole-of-business solutions.
Confident in engaging C-level executives and building trusted, long-term relationships.
