Utilise your administrative expertise to provide support and advice to Corrections Victoria at Loddon PrisonAn ongoing, full-time opportunity to work with a high-performing and passionate team in the Victorian Public ServiceVPS Grade 2: $60,295 - $77,430 plus the Business Unit:Loddon Prison consists of a 477-bed medium risk facility, and Middleton a 236-bed restricted minimum facility. The Vocational Services Team prepares prisoners for release and work to enhance prisoner post release employment opportunities, targeted educational opportunities and personal development programs and activities.About the Role:The Business Support Officer is part of the Loddon Prison and Middleton Vocational Services team, which comprises both Industry and Education operations as part of the portfolio The Business Support Officer works within a team environment to optimise the opportunities for prisoners to enhance their life skills and personal development through all aspects of the day-to-day routines, services and programs conducted in the facilities.The role is very diverse and will entail a wide variety of functions including answering customer and internal stakeholder queries, placing orders for goods and services, paying accounts, preparing reports and various general computer related duties.The role may be required to cover leave or provide support for other administrative areas within Loddon Prison and Middleton. This position may also require direct prisoner contact.Some of your duties will include:Providing accurate information to staff and customers, in relation to Industry Operations, in line with relevant Industry Management manual, Deputy Commissioners Instructions, Commissioners Requirements and Local Operating ProceduresProviding support in all aspects of prisoner employment, monitoring prisoner pays, compiling employment statistics, and providing assistance with related prisoner pay queriesConducting monthly audits and reports on Oracle system and provide monthly reports on budget,To learn more about this role before applying, please read the attached position description.About You:As our ideal candidate, you will possess:Computer Skills (Familiar with Department suite of software, Oracle, PIMS, JETS, Centurion Microsoft Office Suite)Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite of applications (Excel, Word and Access)Qualifications/Requirements:Relevant experience in a similar role would be highly regarded.Experience in finance and accounts payable processes and customer service (Desirable)How to Apply:Please click the Apply button on this advertisement.
