Job Opening: Field Engineer I AV
Pavion seeks a talented and motivated Field Engineer I AV to join our security business unit.
Responsibilities
1. Program, configure, commission, and maintain small to medium Mission Critical Audio-Visual systems and projects.
2. Configure basic system integrations between AV systems and related components.
3. Terminate cables and wires on rack components, control panels, and system components.
4. Diagnose and troubleshoot system issues at the software level.
5. Provide creative solutions to technical challenges; manage and troubleshoot hardware and peripherals.
6. Train end users on AV products and solutions, applying SME expertise.
7. Ensure system delivery according to project specifications.
8. Document project status, manage punch lists, and communicate issues to PMO.
9. Support project implementation and sales teams.
10. Mentor team members and develop installation best practices.
Basic Qualifications
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. 2-4 years in the AV industry with relevant technology knowledge.
3. Experience in installation, support, programming, and maintenance of low voltage AV systems.
4. Industry certifications preferred: AVIXA CTS, Crestron CTI, QSC Q-Sys, Extron, SynAudCon.
5. OSHA 10 certification required.
6. Valid driver’s license.
7. Basic knowledge of DSP audio tuning and control system troubleshooting.
8. Basic networking skills, including VLANs, subnetting, DNS.
9. Experience with Crestron, QSC, Shure, Biamp, Barco preferred.
10. Willingness to travel within New England.
11. Reliable transportation.
12. Availability for off-hours work and on-call rotation.
Preferred Qualifications
1. MA Class D, Systems Technician License (preferred).
2. RI TST License(s) (preferred).
