Overview
This position will repair, replace, maintain, or alter pipelines and reticulation systems through protected work practices and to a standard required by the Australian Standards Association.
This role will work from our Garbutt Operations Centre.
Qualifications
Mandatory
- Demonstrated experience in pipelaying and pipeline maintenance within the construction industry, including plan interpretations and experience with large diameter pipes.
- Knowledge of the W.A.S.A Standards.
- Good knowledge of industry standards, procedures, policies, and operational methods.
- Customer Service Skills commensurate with this classification level.
- Problem solving abilities and skills commensurate with this classification level.
- Demonstrated literacy and numeracy skills appropriate to the position.
- Demonstrated ability to operate minor plant and power tools e.g. oxy welders, drills, diamond saws and quick-cut saws.
- Current “C” class driver’s licence.
- Construction Industry White Card (30215 QLD).
Qualifications (Desirable)
- Demonstrated experience in internal stores and purchase procedures.
- MR, Dogman and / or crane chaser license.
- Knowledge of Water/Wastewater internal policies and procedures.
