We are currently seeking two experienced Nurse Unit Managers to lead two critical wards at Mount Hospital, as we prepare to re-open our refurbished areas in early February 2025. The available positions are for the following wards:
* Acute Surgical Ward (Orthopaedic, Neurosurgical, General & Plastic Surgery)
* Cardiothoracic & Vascular Ward
About The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities
* Lead with Impact: Oversee unit operations, driving patient safety and care excellence.
* Deliver Results: Manage performance across key areas – patient safety, quality, financials, and operations.
* Champion Quality Care: Implement Healthscope's safety frameworks and improve patient outcomes.
* Mentor & Support: Provide leadership and guidance to your team, fostering a positive, collaborative environment.
About You
You are an experienced leader with exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong focus on results. You thrive in fast-paced environments and are skilled at driving process improvements to enhance quality and patient experience.
To Be Successful In This Role, You Will
* Registered with AHPRA (Registered Nursing)
* Proven leadership experience in Cardiology, Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgical care OR General surgery.
* Results driven with a focus on achieving quality and performance outcomes.
* Strong communication skills, with the ability to consult, guide and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to achieve department objectives.
* Tech Savvy: High computer literacy, especially in MS Office.
