The secret ingredient in every single dish served in our restaurant is a pinch of hard work behind the scenes. We're looking for a Kitchen Steward to help our chefs make every dish memorable by setting and maintaining exceptional standards in our kitchens.
Every day is different, but you'll mostly be:
* Cleaning and sterilising countertops, walls, stoves, ovens, grills, sinks and cooking equipment
* Maintaining food storage areas like freezers and refrigerators
* Receiving and organising deliveries to the kitchen
* Supporting the chefs and other kitchen staff in basic food preparation, cutting, peeling, and washing
* Removing kitchen waste and washing dirty dishes
What we need from you:
At Crowne Plaza Adelaide, we love people that are authentic, confident, and passionate about creating outstanding guest experiences. We are looking for energetic and approachable people, with excellent communication skills, and a can-do attitude
* A passion for delivering great service
* A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
* Previous experience in a hotel environment beneficial
* Experience working as part of a team and working to deadlines
* It's a physical role and you'll be on your feet most of the day, so attention to safe manual handling is a must; including occasional lifting/push/pull of heavy items and you may need to bend and kneel to complete some activities
* High standard of cleanliness and safety at work
* The flexibility to work across a rotating roster including nights, weekends and public holidays
* Compliance - must hold a Food Safety Certificate
* Meet the legal requirement to work in Australia without limitations or restrictions
