Role Description

The Self Employment Assistance (SEA) initiative is a comprehensive program that supports participants in establishing their own businesses. Our innovative approach provides valuable knowledge and guidance to help them achieve success.

As a SEA Consultant, you will play a key role in delivering training and mentoring services to our participants. Your primary objective will be to assist individuals in developing effective business plans that meet government and organisational standards.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement targeted marketing strategies to engage potential participants
* Conduct assessments of applicants to determine their suitability for the program
* Collaborate with participants to create detailed business plans that align with government and organisational requirements
* Provide one-on-one coaching, motivation, and guidance to support participants' growth
* Monitor the financial viability of businesses and develop action plans as needed
* Complete relevant documentation and administrative tasks
* Document participant progress in our IT systems
* Facilitate the program according to accreditation standards and contractual obligations

Required Skills and Qualifications:

* Eligibility to work in Australia
* A current driver's licence and a comprehensively insured vehicle
* A MyGovID (Standard level)
* Willingness to complete a National Police Check
* Able to pass a Working with Children Check
* Availability to work Full Time Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 5:00pm

Key Skills:

* Strong understanding of small business management principles
* Natural networking skills and ability to build strong connections
* Experience working within diverse cultural communities an advantage
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills
* Motivation and ability to work autonomously as part of a professional team
* Good computer skills across main applications (Teams, Word, Excel, email) and experience with online Learning Management Systems
* Proven track record in achieving results and KPIs
* Highly developed interpersonal skills with experience developing and maintaining client relationships
* Ability to operate within a compliance framework and maintain attention to detail
* Experience in Employment Services or clearly demonstrated transferable skills
* Eligibility to meet legislative requirements for clearance to work in Employment Services programs
