Systems Test Engineer Role
This role involves conducting and overseeing tests related to nuclear systems, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong knowledge of test engineering principles, safety protocols, and data acquisition, instrumentation, and control systems.
Responsibilities:
* Conduct and oversee tests to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
* Diagnose and resolve technical issues in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
* Maintain adherence to all nuclear safety protocols and environmental regulations.
* Evaluate test results, document findings, and provide technical recommendations for process improvements.
* Oversee the performance of testing equipment and instrumentation, ensuring proper functionality.
* Work closely with engineering teams, operators, and regulatory personnel to ensure smooth testing operations.
* Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of testing procedures and results.
* Assist in training new engineers and technicians on testing protocols and safety standards.
Requirements:
* 9 years relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree or 7 years relevant experience with a Master's degree in a related field, or 4 years relevant experience with a PhD or Juris Doctorate in a related field, or equivalent experience.
* 8+ years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, or commissioning within a nuclear facility or a highly regulated industry.
* Strong knowledge of nuclear power systems, test engineering principles, and safety protocols.
* Proficiency in data acquisition, instrumentation, and control systems.
* Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical data.
* Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
* Effective communication and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
* Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
* Master's degree in a relevant field.
* Relevant nuclear industry certifications (such as NQA-1 or NRC qualifications).
* Experience with nuclear reactors, radiation monitoring systems, fluid dynamics, and thermal hydraulics.
