The Role
We are seeking a full-time Trade Assistant / Construction Labourer to support our carpentry, joinery, and construction teams across active renovation projects.
This is a varied, hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their work, understands they are a guest in our clients' homes, and can adapt to where support is needed day to day.
You will be client-facing and expected to represent NEWR professionally at all times.
A fully fitted Toyota HiAce work van is provided for use during work hours.

Key Responsibilities
* Site setup and protection including floor, wall, and access protection within occupied homes.
* Demolition and strip-out works carried out carefully and respectfully.
* Assisting carpenters and trades with framing, sheeting, fix-out, and general construction tasks.
* Material handling, waste removal, and maintaining clean, organised work areas.
* Assisting with deliveries, unloading, and site logistics.
* Supporting multiple teams across renovation and extension projects as required.
* Maintaining a high standard of personal presentation and communication with clients.
* Following WHS procedures and maintaining safe work practices at all times.

What We Are Looking For
* Strong work ethic with reliability, punctuality, and attention to detail.
* Comfortable working inside clients' homes and engaging respectfully with homeowners.
* Ability to take direction, work independently when required, and adapt across tasks.
* Physically capable of manual handling.
* White Card and asbestos awareness training.
* Current driver's licence.
* Pride in workmanship and personal presentation.
Previous construction or renovation experience is preferred, but attitude and professionalism are critical.
