The Advisor, Regulatory Affairs is responsible for assisting APRA with its external regulatory relations, maintaining and strengthening collaboration with domestic, international and other agencies, maintaining effective interactions with government, parliament, industry bodies and other public stakeholders.
Regulatory Affairs provides a central vantage point and opportunity for exposure to the breadth of APRA’s functions (Policy, Supervision, Resolution), regulated industries (Insurance, Banking and Superannuation) and strategic priorities.
You will also be responsible for:
- Supporting APRA’s external regulatory relationships with domestic regulators and government through central coordination of engagement
- Representing APRA in international & domestic regulatory settings
- Contributing to APRA’s Parliamentary processes, and supporting public appearances by APRA executives
- Monitoring external regulatory developments and identifying those that may affect APRA’s objectives
- Keeping abreast of industry developments
- Supporting APRA’s liaison with international counterparts and international forums
- Contributing to developing and implementing external stakeholder strategies that support delivery of APRA’s strategic priorities and manage risk to APRA’s reputation
- Contributing to APRA policy work, as it relates to APRA’s operating setting
- Assisting to partner with teams across APRA to deliver desired outcomes.
