Overview
Sage Café is a cafe, restaurant and function venue located at Erina Fair, just above ‘The Hive’ near Hoyts Cinemas. We serve full breakfast and all-day lunch, with in-house patisserie, organic coffee and a strong focus on fresh, seasonal produce. We’ve built a reputation among local shoppers and food lovers across the Central Coast for high-quality food, excellent coffee, and outstanding guest experience.
Qualifications
- Holds Diploma of Hospitality Management or higher
- Previous 2+ years of experience as a manager in a cafe, restaurant or similar hospitality setting
- Strong working knowledge of food & beverage operations, inventory and cost control
- Excellent leadership and people management skills; ability to train, coach and develop staff
- Outstanding customer service mindset
- Valuable organisational and problem-solving skills
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and health standards
- Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays, as needed
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all café and function operations from open to close, including staffing, scheduling and day-to-day management
- Ensure food and beverage quality standards are met at all times, including our in-house patisserie and organic coffee offerings
- Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction—handling feedback, ensuring consistency in service
- Manage inventory, supplier relationships, ordering fresh/seasonal produce, and controlling costs
- Lead, train and motivate staff to maintain Sage’s culture: quality, consistency, attention to detail
- Ensure health, safety and hygiene standards (food safety, cleanliness) are complied with
- Work with senior management to plan promotions, menus, or special events, especially for functions
