About the role
Service Manager based in Sydney, responsible for a busy inner west area. Reports to the Area Service Operations Manager, manages 10 direct reports, and has P&L responsibilities. The role is office based but also involves field time with technicians and attending customer meetings. Responsibilities include conducting monthly toolbox meetings and driving consistent and reliable financial performance.

Key Accountabilities
* Improve operational budgets, including portfolio growth, material and labour cost control.
* Constantly analyse results and take effective remedial action quickly.
* Visit the site and record contact & other site details.
* Determine manpower capacity needed to service the contracted portfolio.
* Reconcile fulfilment of maintenance visits and act as required.
* Make regular audits to ensure the quality of maintenance.
* Allocate resources to attend to shutdowns.
* Monito*r* callback history and allocate resources to attend to sick lifts.
* Set and attend team meetings.
* Identify & plan for service training needs.
* Document and solve customer complaints.
Requirements for the role
* Ideally experience as a Maintenance/ Repairs/ Service Manager in the lift industry or within fire, HVAC, security or a similar industry.
* Previous experience managing field technicians.
* Qualification in building, engineering, electrical or mechanical disciplines will be looked upon favourably.
* Proven experience in driving business growth and minimizing labour costs.
* Strong organisation and delegation skills, with proven ability to coordinate staff productivity.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* Strong awareness of safety ideally with a qualification.
* Past experience forecasting, budgeting and contract administration.
