For over 70 years, our community-owned, not-for-profit organisation has provided the Canberra and regional community with vibrant and luxurious retirement living villages, reliable and innovative home care, and the very best in residential aged care facilities.
A new year. A new opportunity. A chance to shape what comes next.
As Goodwin continues to grow and evolve, 2026 marks the creation of a new Senior People and Culture Business Partner (SPCBP) role within our People & Culture team. This is a unique opportunity for an experienced, strategic HR professional to step into a newly established position and help shape the next chapter of Goodwin's culture, capability and workforce strategy.

Your expertise ensures our teams can focus on delivering dignified and respectful support to our residents and clients.
A Role Where No Two Days Look the Same
As the SPCBP, you will provide a broad range of human resources services that support both operational excellence and strategic business outcomes. You will be instrumental in promoting the effective and efficient use of Goodwin's human resources through strong partnerships with leaders, expert advice, and best‑practice people management.
* You are the Trusted Advisor: Provide high-quality coaching and solution‑focused advice that empowers managers and executive and operational leaders across all people matters, from workforce planning and talent retention to leadership development.
* Managing Complex Cases: Bring your expertise to bear on complex Industrial and Employee Relations (IR/ER) matters, including working constructively with unions, conducting thorough workplace investigations, resolving grievances, and ensuring procedural fairness and legislative compliance with the Fair Work Act and Modern Awards.
* Drive Strategic Initiatives: Lead or contribute to critical People & Culture projects that drive continuous improvement, enhance our employer brand, and support strategic workforce pipeline initiatives, including international recruitment and development pathways.
* Ensure Governance and Compliance: Act as a custodian of HR integrity, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, including the Aged Care Act and immigration sponsorship requirements.
