Overview
Bluefin is partnering with a Queensland Government client to engage a Technical Business Analyst to support a large-scale digital transformation program. This role will sit across the delivery phase of the uplift, translating complex business needs into clear, actionable technical and functional requirements to support procurement, implementation, and adoption.
Role Details
* Job Title: Business Analyst
* Type: Full-Time hours, 12-Month Day Rate Contract
* Location: Brisbane (WFH flexibility)
This opportunity suits a Technical BA who enjoys working at the intersection of business, data, and technology, and who is comfortable operating in structured and multi-stakeholder environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to gather, analyse, and refine functional and non-functional requirements
* Analyse data and workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement
* Contribute to testing activities, validation of solutions, and readiness for go-live
* Support reporting, benefits tracking, and training activities as new processes and systems are introduced
* Translate business needs into detailed requirements artefacts, including user stories, use cases, and process documentation
* Support technology solution procurement activities through requirements definition and evaluation support
* Facilitate workshops and structured working sessions with diverse stakeholder groups
Your Experience
* 5+ years' experience working as a Technical Business Analyst with strength in SaaS or COTS solution implementations (beginning to end delivery lifecycle)
* Industry background working within education environments or education-related projects (universities, TAFE, education departments or similar)
* Comfortable working with data, systems, and technical teams to support solution delivery
* Strong background in requirements elicitation, process analysis, and documentation (As-Is / To-Be)
* Confident communicator with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and facilitate effective workshops
