The Role
We are currently recruiting for a Full-Time Dental Receptionist to join our dedicated team at Albert Street Dental - Smile On Taree. This is a key front-of-house role responsible for delivering an exceptional patient experience and ensuring the smooth, efficient operation of our reception and administrative functions.
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will provide warm, professional customer service, manage appointments, handle enquiries, coordinate patient flow, and support the practice with high-quality administrative duties.
This is a full-time permanent position designed for a motivated, organised, and people-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Essential Criteria – Dental Receptionist
Patient Care & Communication
* Warm, professional interpersonal skills with a strong patient-care focus
* Ability to manage enquiries, appointments, recalls, and follow-ups with empathy and efficiency
* Confident communicator who can support patients throughout their visit and create a welcoming environment
* Proven ability to make patients feel valued, supported, and at ease
Reception & Administrative Excellence
* Previous experience in a dental or healthcare reception role (preferred but not essential)
* Proficiency in appointment scheduling systems, patient records, and payment processing
* Strong attention to detail in administrative tasks, documentation, and data entry
* Ability to manage patient flow, coordinate with clinicians, and support daily practice operations
* Experience with HICAPS, Medicare, EFTPOS, and end-of-day reconciliation (desirable)
Compliance, Safety & Quality
* Understanding of privacy, confidentiality, and accurate record-keeping obligations
* Awareness of infection-prevention standards within a clinical environment
* Commitment to following practice policies, procedures, and accreditation requirements
* Reliable, professional, and aligned with safe workplace practices
