We are currently seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to join our growing team and oversee projects from start to finish.
About the Role
The Site Supervisor will be responsible for managing all on-site construction activities to ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards across projects in various locations in the Peel region and the Great Southern. The role requires strong leadership, effective communication, and the ability to coordinate multiple trades and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Oversee day-to-day site operations and ensure compliance with plans, specifications, and schedules.
* Manage and coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and trades to ensure smooth project delivery.
* Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety standards.
* Ensure all work meets the company's quality expectations and relevant building codes.
* Maintain accurate site records, daily reports, and progress updates.
* Work closely with the Project Manager to forecast materials, resources, and timelines.
* Identify potential issues or delays early and implement corrective actions.
* Uphold a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with WHS regulations.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain clear communication and satisfaction.
Skills and Experience
* Minimum 5 years' experience in residential or commercial construction supervision.
* Proven ability to manage multiple projects or large-scale builds.
* Strong understanding of construction processes, building codes, and safety regulations.
* Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
* Strong leadership and communication abilities to motivate teams and manage subcontractors.
* Proficient in reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications.
* knowledge of structural engineering would be beneficial
* Experience using project management or site management software (e.g., Procore, Buildertrend, Aconex).
Qualifications
* Certificate IV or Diploma in Building and Construction (or equivalent).
* Current White Card (Construction Induction).
* License for operating forklift or other construction machines would be beneficial
* Current driver's licence
* Supervisory or Builder's registration (advantageous but not essential).
