Growing Sydney‐based property developer builder with a pipeline of $300m+ projects seeks a site‐based Project Engineer to play a key role in delivering large‐scale high‐rise residential and mixed‐use developments.
Reporting to the Project Manager, the successful candidate will support the delivery of projects from construction through to completion, delivering safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards. Years of experience required: 3 – 10+ years.
Responsibilities
* Assist with the planning, coordination and execution of construction works.
* Manage subcontractors, suppliers and consultants on site.
* Monitor construction programs, procurement schedules and project milestones.
* Review construction drawings, shop drawings and technical documentation.
* Resolve technical issues and contribute to value‐engineering initiatives.
* Oversee quality control across site activities and enforce compliance with WHS, environmental and statutory requirements.
* Support site safety systems, inspections and reporting.
* Support project reporting, progress claims and cost tracking.
* Build strong working relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders.
* Assist the Project Manager with day‐to‐day project administration as required.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Degree qualified in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
* 3–10+ years of experience in a Project Engineer role.
* Experience across residential and/or mixed‐use developments is highly regarded.
* Strong understanding of construction methodologies and site operations.
* Solid knowledge of Australian building standards and WHS requirements.
* Excellent communication, coordination and problem‐solving skills.
* Proactive, detail‐oriented and comfortable working in a fast‐paced environment.
* Sydney construction experience preferred.
