Draftsperson Wanted – Join Fender Cabinets
Fender Cabinets, is a well established small family-owned and operated business based in Canning Vale since 2006.
We specialise in high-quality residential renovations, new home projects, and commercial fit-outs across the Perth metro area.
This is an ideal entry-level position for someone wanting a long-term office career in cabinet design and drafting. No cabinet‑making qualification required — full training will be provided.
You will support the drafting and admin team while learning CabMaster and the basics of cabinetry design.
About the Role:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced draftsperson to assist in bringing our custom cabinetry projects to life. Your role will involve:
* Creating detailed drawings and technical plans using Cabinet Master (preferred), Cabinet Vision or AutoCAD.
* Collaborating with our builders design team to ensure accurate and practical designs.
* Prepare cutting lists for the CNC operator and procure materials specified for production.
* Problem-solving and adjusting drawings to meet project requirements.
* Ensuring all drawings align with client specifications and industry standards.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist with basic cabinetry drawings (training provided)
* Data entry, job filing, and documentation preparation
* Support the draftsperson and production team
* Learn cabinetry terminology, materials, and processes
* Help with scheduling, orders, and admin tasks
Requirements:
* No trade qualifications required
* Strong computer skills and attention to detail
* Willingness to learn design software
* Good communication and problem‑solving skills
* Reliability and positive attitude
