Dental Receptionists & Dental Assistants – Join Our Swansea & Bonnells Bay Teams!

Lakeside Dental Swansea and Bonnells Bay Dental Practice are welcoming new team members as part of the wider Smile On Clinics group. We are seeking enthusiastic Dental Receptionists and Dental Assistants to join our established and growing practices.

The Roles

We are currently recruiting for:

- Dental Receptionists – the friendly face of our practice who welcomes patients, manages appointments, and ensures everything runs smoothly.
- Dental Assistants – the hands-on clinical support for our dentists, ensuring every patient receives high-quality, comfortable care.
- Casual and permanent opportunities are available for the right candidates.

Key Responsibilities & Skills

- Patient Care & Communication – Warm, professional interpersonal skills with a robust customer service focus; ability to manage patient enquiries, bookings, and follow-ups with empathy and efficiency; proven ability to make patients feel valued and cared for.
- Administration & Reception – Experience in reception/administration, ideally in a dental or healthcare setting; proficiency in scheduling systems, patient record management, and payment handling; strong organisation and time management skills.
- Compliance & Safety – Knowledge of privacy, confidentiality, and accurate record-keeping; awareness of infection control and workplace safety protocols; collaborative team player who supports colleagues; willingness to mentor junior staff and adapt to changing priorities; problem-solving skills with initiative to improve patient/practice outcomes.
- Clinical Excellence – Certificate III or IV in Dental Assisting (or working towards completion); strong chairside assisting skills with high infection control standards; experience in sterilisation, instrument preparation, and clinical setup.
- Patient Care & Experience – Compassionate and supportive approach to patient care; ability to reassure patients and ensure their comfort throughout treatment; dedication to creating a safe, positive patient experience.
- Administration & Practice Support – Ability to maintain accurate clinical notes; competence in stock control, ordering, and patient record systems.
- Compliance, WHS & Quality – Understanding of WHS, infection prevention, and quality assurance standards; commitment to following practice policies and accreditation requirements; ability to collaborate with dentists, hygienists, and reception teams; willingness to mentor and support colleagues; commitment to ongoing training and professional growth.
