**The Organisation**
You will be joining a premier regional health service, serving a quarter of Victoria through three main campuses. With a workforce of around 5000, this service operates a 724-bed facility that treats over 49,000 inpatients, deals with 52,000 emergency cases, delivers 1,400 babies, and performs over 110,000 medical imaging procedures annually. The organization also boasts an integrated Cancer Centre, where 9000 chemotherapy treatments are administered annually, an 80-bed Psychiatry Unit, and 11 operating theatres that perform almost 15,000 surgical procedures each year. These exceptional services make this service a leading provider of comprehensive healthcare in the region.
**The Job**
- The Anaesthetic Department is located in the Interventional Suite and is composed of the Anaesthetic team, a Secretary, and Acute Pain nurses.
- Your team includes Specialist Anaesthetists and Registrars providing a range of services to public and private patients.
- The department offers services in the Interventional Suite and pre-admission clinic, as well as Acute Pain Service, Obstetric Anaesthesia, and off-site services to Medical Imaging, Intensive Care, and the Emergency Department.
- The department is accredited by the ANZCA as a training site for up to 24 months.
- Consultant Anaesthetists provide anaesthesia and related services to all interventional disciplines except Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery and Transplant Surgery.
- You will participate in teaching anaesthetic trainees as well as other junior medical staff, medical students and nursing staff.
- This is a full time position, 76 hours per fortnight

- Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) or equivalent
