Children's music presenter
Are you an energetic, enthusiastic and caring person who can see yourself leading fun musical sessions for 0 to 5 year olds and their parents/carers?
Maggie Moo Music runs fun and interactive regular music sessions for 0 to 5 year old children and their parents, grandparents or carers too, where the children sing, dance, play, learn and have fun while doing it. Original Moo Music songs are used at the sessions which are positive, uplifting, fun and educational. The interactive sessions help children gain confidence and develop memory, language and coordination skills in an exciting, enjoyable and multi-sensory way.
Right now Maggie Moo Music Bayside needs to find an amazing person to join our team.
You will be required to run up to 2-5 morning sessions per week, Monday-Friday between 9am-11.30am. Scope to increase hours for the right person.
Requirements include:
● Current Blue Card
● experience working with children – this could be in a paid or non-paid role, we just want to know that you understand what's involved when working with children
● comfortable & confident to lead a group of children and their parents/carers
● a good communicator - including being able to project your voice in a group
● fun, vibrant and perhaps even a little.... silly at times ;)
● well presented with good people skills
● organised and punctual, reliability is an absolute essential
● a problem solver who is willing to take charge and be pro-active
● own car and driver's license required
● you'll be responsible for providing an enjoyable and safe environment that is engaging for all.
● you'll follow the Maggie Moo Music guidelines and utilise our wonderful music plus you'll have opportunity to bring your own creative flair to ensure our little moo-vers keep coming back for more.
Some of your primary responsibilities will include;
● class setup (props, etc.) in advance of session start time
● facilitation of Maggie Moo Music sessions utilising music, props, and activities
● following weekly & term session plans using our documentation & guidance
● set up playlists and operate music player
● packing up after each class
● promote maggie moo music sessions and other services
The successful applicant will receive the necessary guidance and mentoring on how to run Maggie Moo music sessions.
