What impact will you make?
You like to work as part of a team, under the direction of the Team Leader, in all aspects of general parks and gardens maintenance, including:
Operation of ride-on mowers, edgers, blowers, and brush cutters.
Operation of tractors for general activities, such as slashing and turf renovations.
Weed management, including the application of herbicides and the removal of weeds manually.
General litter collection, cleaning up and the blowing down of paved surfaces.
Undertaking tree planting and street watering programs as directed.
You like to undertake basic daily maintenance and safety inspections of mowing machinery used in the course of duty.
You are friendly and will respond to customer enquiries (in the field) in a professional and courteous manner.
What can you bring to the team?
Certificate II in Horticulture and/or qualifications in turf management or demonstrated equivalent experience
Current White Card
Previous experience in a parks and gardens environment
General understanding of how to monitor and maintain an irrigation system
Experience and knowledge in the safe handling and application of weed spraying chemicals
Competent in the use of tablets, smartphones and other electronic devices
Current unrestricted C class driver's licence
Current unrestricted MR (Medium Rigid) class national driver's licence (desirable)
As part of our recruitment process, you will be required to participate in a full pre-employment medical that includes drug and alcohol testing

This permanent full time OSE 2 position attracts a salary range of $70,174 - $71,998 gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience.
