About the role
Metaltex Australia is seeking an experienced CNC Brake Press Operator &/or Turret Punch, Laser on our Afternoon Shift to join our dynamic manufacturing team. This full-time position is based in our factory in Dandenong South, VIC. As a CNC Operator, you will play a pivotal role in our metal fabrication operations, ensuring the efficient and accurate production of high-quality components.
The afternoon shift hours are 2:00 pm - 10:00 pm
What you'll be doing
* Operate and maintain CNC turret punch machines to fabricate metal components as per engineering specifications
* Operating Brake press to fabricate metal components as per engineering specifications
* Interpret technical drawings and programming instructions to set up and program the CNC machines
* Monitor machine performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal cutting quality and productivity
* Perform regular maintenance and troubleshooting on the CNC equipment
* Work closely with the production team to ensure timely delivery of finished parts
* Maintain accurate production records and documentation
* Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process
What we're looking for
* Minimum 5 years' experience as a CNC Laser in a manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of sheet metal technology and programming using different CNC machines
* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manufacturing specifications
* Excellent attention to detail and quality-focused mindset
* Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
* Collaborative team player with strong communication abilities
* Australian citizenship or permanent residency required
