The Team:TheTasmanian Community Paediatric service (TCPS) comprises of an amazing, dedicated multidisciplinary team of paediatricians, allied health professional and clinical nurse consultants who are well supported by the administrative team, comprising of the customer service officer, an executive assistant and an executive and project support officer. There are 20 kids care clinics (KCCs) statewide in outreach settings. The TCPS team work closely with its strategic partners in the community to triage referrals in timely manner and place-based appointments to achieve improved outcomes for our children and their families.The Role:The Customer Service Officer (CSO) will be primarily responsible for booking appointments for the clinicians in the different Kids Care Clinics across the state.The successful candidate will be responsible for attending to the phone calls and emails from families for any cancellation and rescheduling of appointments.The CSO will also communicate the changes with the clinicians and the clinic site in a timely manner.The CSO will receive appropriate training and support to undertake their dutiesYou will need:High level communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all levels of professional staff within and outside the hospital, together with a proven ability to maintain confidentiality and communicate directly with patients in a tactful and diplomatic manner.Knowledge of patient information management systems, or the ability to quickly acquire this knowledge, together with clerical experience in a health care setting, and knowledge of medical terminology.High level of accuracy and attention to detail in the operation of computerised patient information systems.Note: - Please refer to the Statement of Duties for all the selection criteria of this position to address in your application.Details of appointment:Fixed term, full time, day worker position, working 76hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible for a period of up to eight months.*Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant.Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies.Salary:$66,049 to $70,993 per annum.
