Your role at St John of God Richmond
We are seeking applications for a Dietitian (Grade 3) to join our Allied Health team at Richmond, on a permanent part-time basis.
Work alongside our multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical nutrition and dietetic services to clients/patients using advanced clinical practice skills.
You will be expected to lead and develop individuals and teams and will ensure that the relevant clinical services demonstrate excellence, quality, current evidence-based practice and the highest level of patient satisfaction and caregiver engagement.
The Position
* Provides direct nutrition and dietetic service to patients/clients and or carers on an individual or group level for both inpatients and/or outpatients at an advanced level.
* Coordinate the provision of special dietary requirements of patients/clients.
* Provide consultation and support to medical, nursing, catering and allied health professionals within the Division, and external agencies, as appropriate.
* Uses expert nutritional knowledge acts as a consultant to the hospital catering service to inform menu development and compliance with the relevant hospital Nutritional standards.
* Document patients' medical nutrition therapy in the approved manner.
* Participate in multidisciplinary activities e.g. team meetings, ward rounds, or case conferences, as required.
* Participate in the delivery of education programmes within the dietetics service and for other caregiver groups.
* Develop and review dietary education resources.
* Participate in other Divisional activities as assigned.
Successful applicants must hold a Tertiary qualification in Dietetics and eligible for full membership with Dietitians Australia (DA) and evidence of Accredited Practicing Dietitian (APD) status.
Experience working in a highly specialised area of healthcare or disability will be highly regarded.

* Salary: $117,354 to $121,259 (pro-rata for part-time) plus 12% Superannuation
* Permanent part-time working 15.2 hours per week
