About the role
Coolabah Group is seeking an experienced and dynamic General Manager to lead our growing Coolabah Cafes & Brodies stores in Queensland & beyond. This full-time role will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the store operations, from financial management to staff supervision and customer service. As the General Manager, you will play a crucial part in driving the company\'s strategic direction and ensuring its continued success in the local community.
What you\'ll be doing
- Site Selection & Leasing: Proactively identify and secure commercial properties for new cafe locations, negotiating favorable lease agreements and managing the associated legal processes.
- Franchise Partner Management: Recruit and screen prospective partners, guiding them through the application and onboarding process.
- Business Development: Develop and implement strategies to boost profitability, efficiency, and customer satisfaction across all stores.
- Team Leadership: Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of the corporate team at head office.
- Operational Standards: Ensure all stores uphold high standards for food safety, hygiene, and customer service.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to create and execute promotional campaigns.
- Strategic Planning: Monitor industry trends and competition to find new opportunities for growth and innovation.
What we\'re looking for
- Proven experience in franchise recruitment and business development, with a focus on the food and beverage industry.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Excellent commercial acumen and financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Ability to identify and secure favorable lease terms.
- Proven experience as a General Manager or equivalent in the QSR and franchising industry.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating high-performing teams.
- Extensive knowledge of food safety, inventory management, and operational best practices.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Passion for the hospitality industry and commitment to exceptional customer experiences.
