Electrical Site Supervisor - Correction Centre Project
Our client is a leading Tier One contractor with a reputation for excellence in large-scale construction projects.
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Supervisor to join our team on a new, high-profile Correction Centre Project north of Brisbane.
This is a challenging and rewarding opportunity to lead a team of Foreman & leading Hands and play a critical role in the successful delivery of a major infrastructure development.
Key Responsibilities
As the Site Supervisor, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of all electrical work in office. Your duties will include:
- Leading and managing a team of Foreman & leading hands
- Interpreting and implementing project plans, schematics, and specifications
- Overseeing the installation of all electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, security systems, and data networks
- Ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards of quality and safety, in strict compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations
- Conducting regular safety talks and inspections to maintain a safe working environment
- Managing project timelines and budgets and coordinating with other trades and the site management team
- Identifying and resolving on-site issues and providing technical guidance to the team
- Maintaining accurate daily logs, progress reports, and "as-built" drawings
Required Skills & Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need a strong background and a proven track record of leadership in large-scale construction.
- Current and valid Electrical Licence
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor or foreman on commercial or industrial projects, with experience on secure or institutional sites being highly regarded
- Exceptional knowledge of the NEC, local building codes, and safety standards
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints, schematics, and technical documents
- A solid commitment to safety and quality workmanship
