Job Description
UTOPIA Gaming Technology is a leading gaming solutions provider servicing Australian clubs and hotels.
We are seeking a highly capable Technology Support Technician to join our Gaming Operations team.
Your primary focus will be the delivery of hands-on Level 2 technical support for a wide range of UTOPIA products, including in-house developed software and devices.
You will also be responsible for the planning and execution of software deployments for customers, to ensure seamless implementation and minimal disruption to operations.
This is a five days in-office role with rostered out of hours work.
Your responsibilities will include:
Providing Level 2 technical support for a wide range of products, including CCU, Omni Eye, Omni Vision and devices such as Windows PCs, cash recyclers, cash redemption terminals.
Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues promptly to minimise venue downtime and ensure customer satisfaction.
Assisting in planning and executing software upgrades and deployments of in-house developed software for both new and existing customers outside of their operating hours.
This will involve some out of hours work.
Maintaining accurate records of support activities, deployments, and process changes to ensure transparency and facilitate continuous improvement.
Working closely with internal teams and stakeholders to align technical support efforts with organisational goals and customer needs.
Requirements
Degree or equivalent experience in information technology, computer science or a related field;
Must have minimum of three years' experience in an ICT environment, with direct involvement in technical support and service delivery, as well as experience in remotely supporting devices
Ability to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot hardware and software related issues.
High level of organisational capability, including prioritisation of tasks to meet deadlines and SLAs.
Proven ability in supporting and configuring Windows-based PCs
Proficiency in PowerShell scripting
Experience with MSSQL database support and maintenance
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Experience with devices such as Cash Recyclers and Cash Redemption Terminals
Strong commitment to customer service excellence and continuous improvement
Ability to provide out of hours support on a roster basis
Experience in gaming technology or hospitality industry would be an advantage
