Communications Specialist
This is an exciting opportunity to work as a key member of our team, contributing your expertise in stakeholder engagement and communication.
* Develop and implement effective communication strategies across various stakeholders.
* Provide expert advice to project managers and teams on communication and stakeholder engagement.
* Identify, engage, and manage relationships with landowners, leaseholders, tenants, occupiers, and other affected parties.
* Liaise with authorities and external partners to secure permissions and approvals related to land access and infrastructure works.
* Manage sensitive stakeholder issues with professionalism and responsiveness.
* Prepare clear, engaging communication materials for various audiences.
* Support media relations, including preparing responses to inquiries and assisting with issue and crisis management.
Requirements:
* Extensive experience in major infrastructure or construction projects.
* Proven ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships in sensitive environments.
* Strong writing, editing, reporting, and verbal communication skills.
* Proficiency in tools such as Consultation Manager and Microsoft Office Suite.
* A commitment to collaboration, transparency, and ethical engagement.
About the Project:
The Inland Rail Program involves upgrading existing rail track, enhancing existing standard gauge track, and constructing new standard gauge links across 1700km from Brisbane to Melbourne.
Works in the Albury to Illabo section include enhancements to specific sites along the existing 'Main South Line' corridor to support safe running of double-stacked freight trains.
