Technical Draftsperson/Modeller Role
A highly skilled individual is required to join our team as a Technical Draftsperson/Modeller. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for creating detailed building services BIM models and technical drawings that meet project requirements.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in 3D modelling and technical drafting, with the ability to create accurate and detailed models and documents. While industry experience is valuable, on-the-job training is available for the right candidate.
In this role, you will work closely with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project documentation meets expectations and supports successful project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
* Develop and maintain detailed building services BIM models for various projects.
* Prepare and revise technical drawings and construction documents.
* Coordinate with project teams to gather and integrate project data.
* Perform clash detection and resolve issues identified during the design process.
* Maintain project documentation and update models based on feedback and changes throughout the project lifecycle.
Prerequisites:
* Australian citizenship is mandatory.
* Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and Excel.
* Ability to interpret and apply design concepts and technical standards.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
* Excellent attention to detail, time-management, and organisational skills.
Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
* Completed or in the process of completing a Bachelor's degree or diploma in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.
* Proficiency in modelling or technical drafting using software such as Revit and AutoCAD.
* Familiarity with programming languages or software (e.g. SketchUp, Rhino, Dynamo, Python).
* Knowledge of Australian building codes and regulations.
