Kairos Community College takes a holistic approach to education, recognising that wellbeing and belonging are essential foundations for learning. As we prepare to open our new campus in Nambour in 2026, we are seeking a dedicated Youth Worker to join our foundation team and support young people to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.
The Youth Worker role at Kairos is dynamic and multifaceted. You will work alongside teachers and other staff to ensure students feel safe, supported, and motivated. Each day brings new opportunities to make a difference, whether by providing one-on-one mentoring, facilitating small group programs, organising volunteering and community engagement activities, or helping students navigate personal challenges.
We are looking for someone who is:
* Highly relational, able to build authentic connections with young people
* Adaptable and resilient, with strong youth work skills
* A team player who collaborates closely with educators and families
* Committed to maintaining professional boundaries while offering genuine care
* Equipped with additional qualifications such as a TAE or Light Rigid vehicle licence (highly regarded)
At Kairos, we value our people and ensure they feel supported in their work. We provide ongoing professional development, a strong culture of teamwork, and very attractive salary sacrifice benefits that make a tangible difference to staff wellbeing. This is a challenging but rewarding role in an organisation that is deeply committed to changing lives.
