About the Role: We are seeking experienced Health Service Medical Practitioners, General Practitioners or Rural Generalists to join our team. As a rural generalist, you will provide medical care for rural and remote or isolated communities, applying a population approach, primary care, secondary and emergency care, culturally engaged Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples' health care and providing specialized medical care in at least one additional discipline.
The ideal candidate will have expertise in Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics, Anaesthetics, Surgery, and/or General Medicine, as well as skills in teamwork and leadership. You will be responsible for caring for critically unwell patients and playing a vital role in both medical stabilization and preparing for transfer to another site for definitive care.
