A long-term temporary opportunity for a Health and Safety Advisor/Officer to join a large and busy Federal Government Agency.
**About the role**:
- Providing support to managers and colleagues through the employee lifecycle, ensuring a safe workplace for all employees.
- Providing technical OHS/WHS advice to support business functions and managers.
- Taking a leading role in implementing the OHS/WHS Management System for the organisation.
- Developing and implementing policy, procedures and developing associated learning and training materials.
- Managing and providing advice on incident responses and coordinating incident investigations.
- Undertaking and reviewing hazard and risk assessments and management of the risk register.
- Preparing briefs, reports, meeting papers and other relevant OHS/WHS documentation.
**About you**:
- You will have previous experience in providing OHS/WHS advice and assistance.
- You will have previous experience working with OHS/WHS legislation, policy and procedures.
- You will have excellent communication skills - written and verbal, and the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels across the organisation.
- You will ideally hold a relevant qualification in OHS/WHS.
- You will have experience working in a corporate or government organisation.
