Firehouse Subs has over 1300 restaurants around the world and is now coming to Australia! We are building the team to help us become one of the most loved restaurant brands in the country and areseeking a highly motivated full-time Store Manager to play a key leadership role in the very first opening in the wider Mt Gravatt area and to support our ambitious growth plan of over 150 locations in the next decade.
As this is the first location, the Store Manager will train in an overseas Firehouse Subs restaurant. The successful candidate will have all travel costs covered to train in Europe for 5 weeks before the restaurant opens. Being able to participate in that training is an essential requirement of the role, with an estimated start date of 7th April 2026
The Role
As the Store Manager you will own the performance, presentation and culture of your store. You will lead from the front, driving sales and operational standards while building a reliable, accountable, and enthusiastic team who demonstrates that customer experience is at the heart of all we do.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Deliver standout customer experiences that drive repeat business
* Drive and exceed individual and store sales targets and KPIs
* Analyse performance, control costs and execute local marketing initiatives
* Recruit, onboard and coach a high-performing team
* Set clear expectations and build a positive, accountable culture
* Ensure compliance with rosters, policies and employment legislation
* Maintain brand, safety and cleanliness standards of both Retail Food Group and Firehouse Subs
* Manage inventory and protect profitability
* Oversee daily reporting, banking and end-of-day procedures
* Resolve customer concerns professionally and efficiently
What We're Looking For
You're a hands-on retail leader with strong operational discipline and a proven track record of driving store performance. You lead from the front, hold high standards, know your numbers, and build engaged teams that consistently deliver results.
You'll also bring:
* Demonstrated experience as a Store Manager or 2IC in a high-volume retail, QSR or trade-based environment (essential)
* Have some demonstrated success leading teams to achieve sales, KPIs and operational standards
* Strong supportive coaching, performance management and people leadership skills.
* Confidence using data and reports to drive decisions and improvements on store operations and profitability.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with a wide range of stakeholders.
* Flexibility to work a rotating roster including weekends and some public holidays.
* Must have ability to travel overseas to Tirana, Albania for approximately 5 weeks to complete training in all brand operations
