Nut Producers Australia (NPA) is an almond and pistachio processing and marketing business with a charter to maximise returns to growers and has an annual turnover more than $100 million. The business is a collective of three companies: NPA, the Marketing and Administration company based in Adelaide, Riverland Almonds in Loxton and Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company, based in Robinvale, Vic. As a separate and complementary channel, NPA also carries on the business of product trading to add to the growth of the business.

Australian Pioneer Pistachio Company (APPC) is proud to be one of Australia's largest, privately owned grower and processor of Pistachios. As pioneer of producing and marketing locally grown Australian Pistachios, we are committed to investing in the business through innovation and technology developments. APPC is located in Robinvale in the Sunraysia region of Victoria, which are ideally suited for Pistachio growing. We have recently completed the expansion of the hulling and grading plant at Robinvale, Victoria to including a roasting and packing facility.

Lead the way in maintenance excellence
We're seeking a hands-on Leading Hand – Maintenance to oversee repairs, preventative programs, and team performance across our operational sites. You'll combine technical know-how with leadership skills to keep machinery running smoothly, minimize downtime, and ensure safety standards are met—all while fostering a collaborative, can-do culture.
About the Role
1. Lead and mentor a small team to achieve optimal performance.
2. Oversee maintenance and repairs of processing equipment, ensuring safety, quality, and cost control.
3. Diagnose operational problems and implement efficient solutions.
4. Maintain workshop and storage areas to high standards of cleanliness and organization.
5. Collaborate with management, operations, and production teams to keep everything running smoothly.
6. Promote and enforce WHS standards and company policies.
What We're Looking For
7. Trade Certificate or relevant experience (desirable).
8. Current Driver's Licence.
9. Strong welding skills (MIG, TIG, Arc, Oxy) and hydraulic knowledge.
10. Proven leadership ability and diagnostic skills.
11. Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills.
12. A proactive, can-do attitude with the ability to work harmoniously within a small team.
