27th May, 2026 Project Coordinator - Technology Modernisation | Insurance | Contract A leading Australian insurer is undergoing a significant technology modernisation program and is seeking an experienced Project Coordinator to provide hands-on support to Program Managers and Directors across a portfolio of complex, interconnected technology initiatives. This is a pivotal role for someone who thrives in fast-paced, enterprise environments and brings polished stakeholder engagement skills to everything they do. Location: Sydney, NSW (Hybrid) Contract duration: 6-12 months Start: Immediate Rate: Competitive daily rate What you'll be doing Providing comprehensive coordination support to Program Managers and Directors across multiple concurrent technology workstreams Maintaining program schedules, RAID logs, action registers, and status reports with meticulous accuracy Preparing and distributing high-quality program governance materials including steering committee packs, executive dashboards, and meeting minutes Coordinating cross-functional workshops, planning sessions, and program ceremonies across business and technology teams Tracking deliverables, milestones, and dependencies, proactively flagging risks and blockers to program leadership Acting as a key coordination point between internal teams, third-party vendors, and senior stakeholders Supporting financial tracking, budget reconciliation, and resource management activities Driving continuous improvement in program administration processes and templates What you'll bring Demonstrated experience coordinating large-scale, complex technology programs of work - ideally within financial services or insurance Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with the confidence to liaise at all levels, from delivery teams through to C-suite Strong written and verbal communication skills - you can translate technical complexity into clear, concise updates Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar Solid understanding of project and program management methodologies (PMBOK, Agile, SAFe, or equivalent) Experience supporting technology modernisation, digital transformation, or platform migration programs A proactive, solutions-focused mindset with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to manage competing priorities under pressure Formal qualifications in project management (CAPM, PRINCE2, PMI or similar) highly regarded but not essential Why this role Play a central role in one of the most significant technology modernisation programs in the Australian insurance market Work alongside experienced Program Directors and gain deep exposure to enterprise-scale delivery governance Flexible hybrid working arrangement with a collaborative, high-performing team culture Competitive daily contract rate with potential for extension as the program evolves
