About The Role
Are you a training professional with a sharp eye for detail and a strong commitment to safety and compliance? Thiess is seeking a Training Coordinator to join our dynamic team at the QCoal Northern Hub Project in Collinsville.
As our next Training Coordinator, reporting to the Health, Safety & Training Manager, you will work closely with a high-performing team to coordinate all functional safety and training activities on site. This includes the maintenance of accurate training records, compliance documentation, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Working a 5/2 roster your key responsibilities in this role will include:
* Assist with the management of site gate competency compliance
* Manage course bookings, onsite training and inductions
* Manage a team of Training Specialists and Crew Trainers across the site
* Manage the site data to ensure compliance with the Learning Management System
* Create and maintain site training plans
* Maintaining the site training needs analysis (TNA) to identify gaps between current skill, competency levels and required skill levels in consultation with key stakeholders
* Develop, implement and maintain site training plans with a focus on proficiency-based training outcomes
* Develop, implement and maintain site training plans with a focus on "new to the industry" engagement
* Organise training activities while ensuring adherence to all legislative and Thiess requirements
* Coordination of Emergency Response Team training
About You
To be successful in this role you will require the following:
* Experience in managing a large site, complex Training needs analysis
* Strong administrative skills and experience using online training systems
* Certificate IV Trainer Assessor
* High level computer literacy
* Ability to map training packages to recognised competencies (particularly RII packages)
* Experience with heavy earthmoving equipment (Dump truck, Watercart, Grader, Dozer, Loader & Excavator) and/or a Mining Maintenance background will be an advantage
