Base pay range

A$110,966.00/yr - A$131,514.00/yr

* Continuing, full-time
* $110,966 to $131,514 per annum (Level B)
* Plus 17% employer superannuation
* Salary packaging options are available
* 20 days family and domestic violence leave per annum
* 20 days gender affirmation leave per annum
* 10 days Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultural and ceremonial leave per annum
* 4 weeks annual leave plus Christmas week shutdown, per annum, part time pro rata (for less than 100% FTE)
* Armidale or Sydney campus based. Flexible or hybrid work arrangements will be considered.
* Relocation assistance provided
* Applicants must have appropriate Australian work rights for the duration of this position (UNE will not provide sponsorship for this position)

About the role

As a Lecturer in Counselling, you will join our dynamic team of academics, contribute to the development of future counselling professionals and further raise the profile of the School of Health. The role will provide you with opportunities to teach in the undergraduate and postgraduate programs in counselling and in other programmes at UNE in which our counselling units are offered. Supervision of students in higher degree research programs may also be part of the role.


About you

* Hold a post graduate qualification (preferably at Masters or PhD level) in Counselling or a closely related field.
* Be eligible for membership with the Australian Counselling Association and have industry experience in Counselling.
* Have strong teaching abilities, and experience in unit coordination and flexible course delivery and leadership.
* Excellent communication, teamwork, and organisational skills are essential. Additionally, you should be committed to quality education, able to collaborate across disciplines, and willing to contribute to student support and university activities.
