**The Project**:
Hunter Power Project is located in the small suburb of Loxford in the Hunter Valley region of New South Wales, approximately three km north of the town of Kurri Kurri, and approximately 35 km west of Newcastle and 125 km north of Sydney.
**The Opportunity**:
UGL Utilities division is seeking an experienced Document Controller for a Power Station project based in the Hunter Valley region.
As a Document Controller your role will be to set up the Document Control Centre and ensure all Project Documentation are processed in accordance with the requirements of standard ISO 9001 and the client.
Being a key part of the project, you will be based on site out in the Hunter Valley as you will be the point of contact for all site inductions as requested by the client.
**Some key responsibilities of this role will include**:
- Ensure that the Document Control procedure requirements are complied
- Acquisition, recording, filing and distribution of relevant Australian and International Standards and Procedures
- Control the identification, registration, distribution, and retention of all design, client, and vendor documentation.
- Enforce Document Control Procedure as required
- Set up the Project Drawing files after verification that all drawings issued by client or other parties are in accordance with the associated transmittal.
- Log receipt of technical queries, improvement requests, engineering change notices, construction change notices, material receiving reports and over, short and damage reports. Issue to the appropriate personnel for review and action.
- Complete close out of Project and ensure the traceability and accurate archiving of all controlled/uncontrolled documentation, according to Company Standards.
- Maintain facilities and databases to ensure efficient operation of the document control function.
- Acquisition, recording, filing and distribution of relevant Australian and International Standards and Procedure.
**About You**:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in a document control role
- Experience with MS Office, Lotus Notes, Aconex and Ineight teambinder
- Engineering, mining/processing plant construction/operational knowledge
- Previous experience in document control in an engineering design office or related field
- A good standard of computer literacy, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
- Attention to detail & effective verbal and written communication capability.
- Must be customer focused, team oriented, accountable and results driven.
- Energetic with a positive can-do attitude.
