We are seeking an experienced Civil Engineer to join a leading industrial operations team at a world-class zinc refinery located in Townsville.
About the Role
This is a hands‐on engineering position focused on civil maintenance and project delivery within a large‐scale processing environment. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing civil works across site infrastructure while ensuring safety, quality, and cost control.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop scopes of work, cost estimates, and construction plans
* Manage civil maintenance and project works from initiation to close‐out
* Prepare tender documentation and coordinate procurement activities
* Supervise contractors and ensure safe execution of site works
* Maintain infrastructure including roads, drainage, and structural assets
* Ensure compliance with site safety and regulatory requirements
* Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants
What We're Looking For
* Degree in Civil Engineering (or related discipline)
* Minimum 3 years of post‐graduate experience
* Strong site‐based / industrial project experience (refinery or mining preferred)
* Knowledge of CMMS systems (JD Edwards is an advantage)
* Strong communication, planning, and stakeholder management skills
* Eligibility for RPEQ (or working towards it)
