JUTE Theatre Company is seeking an experienced Creative Producer to deliver high-quality theatre projects and support the implementation of our artistic program.
This is a full-time position based onsite in Cairns, reporting to the Executive Artistic Director.
About the Role
The Creative Producer is responsible for the day-to-day delivery of approved projects within JUTE's artistic program. You will manage project planning, budgets, contracts, timelines and compliance, ensuring work is delivered safely, on time and on budget.
Key responsibilities include:
* Managing theatre productions and creative development projects
* Overseeing project budgets and financial accountability
* Contracting and managing artists, venues and suppliers
* Coordinating marketing and stakeholder communications
* Ensuring compliance with funding and regulatory requirements
* Contributing to funding applications and reporting
* Supporting evaluation and data collection
You will act as a key liaison between artists, partners, funders and JUTE staff.
About You
You are an experienced theatre producer with:
* Extensive experience producing and touring theatre
* Strong project and budget management skills
* Experience commissioning and developing new work
* Community engagement experience
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* An established network within Australia's theatre sector
* High cultural competency
Essential: Queensland Blue Card (or ability to obtain). Full Australian Work Rights.
Desirable: Current driver's licence & First Aid Certificate
