Demanding but fulfilling role
We seek driven graduates or experienced professionals to join our team as Regional Speech Therapists. You will provide meaningful care to people of all ages, including children, families, and adults with communication and swallowing disorders. Your duties will include:
* Conducting comprehensive assessments using standardised and informal tools
* Delivering evidence-based therapy for communication and swallowing disorders
* Supporting clients with developmental delays, disabilities, and acquired conditions
* Implementing early childhood intervention strategies with a family-centred approach
You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic, community-based care in Mount Isa, Townsville, or Longreach. Our close-knit team is dedicated to making a lasting impact in rural and remote communities.
Key responsibilities and qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* A degree in Speech Pathology (recent graduate or near completion)
* Eligibility for membership with Speech Pathology Australia
* A valid driver's license and ability to travel within regional areas
* Willingness to obtain a QLD Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening
