THE ROLE The Specialist Procurement Partner is responsible for providing specialist procurement advice and support to ensure procurement is run in an efficient and compliant manner. The position is required to lead and support critical procurement activities to drive value for money outcomes for whole of government whilst maintaining compliance with relevant legislative and policy obligations. The Specialist Procurement Partner will be an expert in government procurement legislation and assist with the design and coordination of key procurement activities and ensure all probity and governance requirements are met. ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE * * Engage and advise key internal stakeholders on policies, procedures, systems and standards to enable delivery of effective outcomes focused procurement activities across the program within legislative and regulatory requirements. * Provide subject matter expertise on government policies such as Local Jobs First, Social Procurement, etc. * Establish and maintain tendering, purchasing and contract development and management processes and systems that are rigorous, transparent and have credibility with all stakeholders.
