Job Description
The Operations Support Centre Specialist role is served by experienced financial technologists with responsibilities that include providing customer support and production-level operational oversight of the Cboe Data Vantage market data and analytics platforms and related systems (e.g., Hanweck, Silexx, Indices, LiveVol). This role is responsible for providing first-level world-class support, solving problems, monitoring systems, and ensuring systems maintain a healthy state, troubleshooting when they are not. OSC Specialists often act as a liaison between stakeholders including global and regional banks, buy-side firms, corporates, prime brokers, vendors, and internal teams. An OSC Specialist must work independently with minimal supervision and have opportunities to influence project lifecycles and organizational success.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support
Primary support for Data Vantage platforms and secondary support for other Cboe platforms.
Provide first-level support, answering questions related to APIs, trading, and features, resolving customer issues using the “Deliver Plus One” standard.
Communicate professionally via email and phone, managing support queues.
API certification testing.
Port creation and modification of default settings.
Test and understand system changes before deployment.
Investigate error logs, troubleshoot network issues, and review logs.
Use Linux file systems for troubleshooting.
Trading/Product Support
Support Data Vantage business teams with data and order behavior requests.
Assist clients with configuration and troubleshooting.
Support system configuration changes (entitlements, routing, ports, sessions).
Support related products and trading applications.
Data mining and research.
Operational System Monitoring
Perform daily startup/shutdown checks.
Monitor systems and dashboards.
Monitor database health and batch processing tools.
Handle ad hoc project assignments.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in relevant disciplines preferred.
4+ years’ experience in securities or technical support roles.
Experience with options and equity market data required; futures, indices, and currency data preferred.
Experience with market analytics and file transfer processing, cloud tech (e.g., AWS).
Proficiency in analyzing financial data, Linux, SQL, troubleshooting, and customer service.
Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work under pressure.
Willingness to participate in weekend testing and support.
Scripting/programming experience (SQL, C#, Java, Python) is a plus.
