About the role: As the Purchasing Officer, your responsibilities will include: Placing and managing purchase orders for required goods and services to support operational needs; Coordinating with internal departments to understand purchasing requirements and delivery timeframes; Managing day-to-day vendor relationships, ensuring competitive pricing, product quality and reliable delivery; Negotiating supplier agreements and reviewing vendor contracts to protect organisational interests; Monitoring procurement activities to ensure delivery performance targets are achieved, including maintaining high Delivered In Full, On Time (DIFOT) outcomes; Proactively identifying and resolving supply issues while implementing strategies to reduce delays and disruptions; Communicating regularly with internal stakeholders to provide updates on purchase orders and delivery timelines; Contributing to cost reduction initiatives through strategic sourcing, contract negotiation and supplier management; and Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the procurement and supply chain function. About you: To be successful in this role, you will have significant purchasing experience, preferably within the mining, manufacturing, heavy equipment or export-related sectors. You will demonstrate solid contract management capabilities, proven experience managing supplier relationships and effective communication skills. Your excellent organisational and time management abilities will enable you to handle multiple priorities in a fast‑paced procurement environment. You will also have good IT proficiency, experience with ERP systems such as SAP, Pronto or Microsoft Dynamics 365 and advanced Microsoft Office skills. How to Apply?
