We are looking for a dedicated Skills Assessor with Data Science experience to join the Migration Pathways Skills Assessment team. If you have experience and qualifications in Data Science, we would like to hear from you.This role will be responsible for conducting thorough and accurate assessment and validation of migration applicants' skills and qualifications in the IT industry (with a particular focus on Data Science skills and experience). The Skills Assessor ensures compliance with Australian immigration standards and ACS assessment criteria while providing excellent customer service throughout the assessment process. You will contribute to the efficiency and quality of Migration Skills Assessment operations, supporting Senior Skills Operations in delivering high-quality assessment services and enhancing migrant employment outcomes.About YouTo be successful in this role it is expected you will have;Minimum Bachelor or higher degree in IT/Computer Science/Data ScienceIT industry knowledge and an ability to interpret complex information.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.In-depth understanding of IT/data science qualifications and industry trends.Work experience in Data Science is highly desirableExcellent judgement, communication, and customer service skills.Commitment to continuous improvement, integrity, and collaborative problem-solving.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Key ResponsibilitiesEvaluate qualifications, skills, and experience of applicants against skilled migration criteria in IT and data science.Demonstrate industry knowledge to support evidence-based analysis and decision-making.Maintain a high level of integrity and drive quality assurance through collaboration, escalation, and validation processes.Deliver high-quality assessments in line with ACS policies, criteria, and quality assurance procedures.Serve as the primary operational contact for applicants, migration professionals, and internal teams, ensuring timely and accurate communication.Document and maintain assessment records to support reporting, audits, and quality assurance.Collaborate across teams to address complex issues, resolve complaints, and identify risks, escalating when necessary.Utilise technologies and systems to streamline business operations and enhance automation.Contribute to updates in team knowledge bases, policies, and procedures.Support annual industry validation activities to align assessment frameworks with current industry needs.Proactively identify and implement initiatives to improve operational efficiency and migrant employment outcomes.About ACSACS is Australia's leading professional association for the technology community, representing around 50,000 members across industry, government, and education.
