Join Our Acquired Injury Support Services Team in Smithton
Anglicare Tasmania's Acquired Injury Support Services team is seeking dedicated, compassionate individuals to provide high-quality, person-centred care to people living with acquired injuries. We're looking for team members who embody our values of hope, compassion, justice and respect, and who are passionate about making a meaningful difference every day.
As an Acquired Injury Support Worker, you will provide direct support that meets each client's individual needs, helping them build skills, work towards their goals, and live a full and independent life.
This role is casual and workers must be willing and available to work a variety of shifts over a 24 hour period if required. This position is available for an immediate start and applications will be shortlisted upon receipt.
The things that you may need to work with our clients on may include:
* personal care (showering, grooming and dressing)
* medication administration
* meal preparation
* manual handling
* transport
* purchases
* social support
* record keeping and reporting

To join our team you must have the following:
* Australian Residency status or valid Australian working rights
* A Certificate III in Individual Support (Aged Care or Disability), or currently working towards one.
* Experience in the Disability Industry
* A current provisional or full Australian Driver Licence and an insured, reliable motor vehicle
* A current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People registration
* A National Police Check (Working with vulnerable peoples)
Successful applicants are required to have an Anglicare Tasmania assessed medical before commencement. On commencement successful applicants will be required to undertake our structured Safeguarding Children Training program.
