Phoenix IT has been providing Technical Support and Software Development services for over 30yrs to a range of clients locally and nationally.
Our focus for Technical Support is client solution and satisfaction orientated - our clients want and need solutions to their problems - we need to listen to them and provide professional and timely support and functional and efficient solutions that meet and exceed their expectations.
We’re looking for a new technician to come onboard in an entry level helpdesk support role. While experience in a similar previous role is ideal, we are also open to someone who is self-motivated and are happy to hit the ground running!
Tasks, Skills and Responsibilities
The role will be determined by the successful applicant, however at a minimum it would involve;
Help-desk type support (troubleshooting customer issues) – based in our office
Onsite support as required
User setups (account creation, administration)
Hardware setups (out of box setups, software installs)
Handling delegated tasks from your supervisor
Handling requests from home users e.g. mobile phone issues, general PC/laptop problems
First point of contact for inbound phone calls and ability to triage phone calls
Open minded and keen approach to providing technical support services, somebody who is looking to learn and contribute
Ability to effectively communicate with clients and other staff
Common-sense and a focus on identifying the problem and implementing the solution
Ability to operate independently
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Eligible to work in Australia
Strong verbal and written communication skills
‘Think outside the box’ approach with troubleshooting with the ability to understand problems and provide solutions in a timely manner
Ability to work under pressure and manage your time effectively
Understanding of basic networking components and protocols
Australian driver’s license and vehicle
Desirable Qualifications & Experience
At least 1 year in a previous similar role
General networking knowledge (IP networks and hardware)
Experience with building custom PCs
Mobile device setup, troubleshooting and data migration
