Our stations / Hubs in Kingsbury and Lount require a qualified and motivated individual to join the operations maintenance team within the station as a Skilled Technician.
Hours and Shifts
Hours : 40 per week.
Shifts : Rotating shifts Monday to Friday am to pm and pm to pm.
Salary
Salary : £ per hour. Premium paid for Twilight shift allowance of £2.33 per hour pm and pm), Night shift allowance of £2.82 (22 : 00pm to 06 : 00am). Premium not paid if sick.
Responsibilities
* Organise team maintenance and required equipment to ensure that operation and maintenance of machinery is completed safely, in the shortest possible time within the time scale demanded by operational necessities.
* Monitor workflow, be aware of potential problems and take immediate corrective action through delegation, own action or by referral upwards.
* Effective liaison with Depot and Operations Managers, Section Leaders and Control Room to resolve difficulties and enquiries.
* Ensure smooth transition of traffic across the machine paying attention to Health and Safety.
* Timely and accurate completion, on a nightly basis, of all required information recording sheets.
* Ensure that all operational and maintenance procedures, as detailed in the Group Operations Manual, available from the Depot Managers Office, are adhered to in order to maintain customer service levels to the required standard.
* Ensure that all equipment is returned to its designated area after use, is maintained in a safe and efficient working order and that an adequate system for reporting defective equipment is in use.
Qualifications and Skills
* Self‑motivated, organised.
* Hold a City and Guilds Electrical / Mechanical engineering qualification or equivalent.
* Knowledge of 17th or 18th Edition electrical regulations.
* Proven electrical / mechanical maintenance background.
* Ability to read electrical schematic drawings.
* Understanding of PLC controlled equipment.
* Flexible approach to shift patterns.
* Understanding of health and safety legislation.
* Full driving licence.
