The opportunity
Silverchain is commencing an enterprise program to modernise our digital foundations and improve the experience for our clients, carers, providers and staff. As a Functional Consultant / Business Analyst, you'll play a pivotal role in making this vision real. You'll work closely with business stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure requirements are understood, solutions are practical and scalable, and new capabilities are successfully adopted. This is a hands‑on role where you'll help shape processes, support design and testing, and guide the organisation through change - so our teams can deliver better care, more efficiently, to thousands of Australians.
Key responsibilities
As a
D365 Functional Consultant / Business Analyst
, you'll bridge business needs with technical delivery in a hybrid agile environment, helping shape the implementation of our Enterprise Operations Care System by:
* Turning needs into clarity -
capturing requirements as prioritised user stories with clear acceptance criteria, and translating legacy data structures into target state features through detailed analysis.
* Designing for simplicity and scale -
mapping processes and crafting solutions that maximise D365 CE's out-of-the-box capability, while developing specifications that cover roles and permissioning, entity and relationship modelling, data attributes, workflows, business rules, Power Automate flows, reports, dashboards, and test scripts in close consultation with vendor teams.
* Aligning teams to outcomes -
uniting stakeholders and vendors, navigating complexity, and using technical expertise to negotiate requirements that balance business needs with platform constraints.
* Driving quality and adoption-
coordinating testing (sprints and UAT), triaging feedback, and showcasing D365 CE to inspire uptake.
* Keeping the engine humming -
maintaining documentation and contributing to integration specs that ensure joined-up experiences from day one.
About you
* 5+ years as a D365 CE functional consultant / Business Analyst
(Sales/Customer Service/Field Service/Power Platform) with strong user story and acceptance‑criteria practice
* Confident stakeholder facilitation and the ability to align diverse perspectives to practical solutions
* Microsoft certifications in D365 (Field Service, Customer Service, Sales, Health Clous, Customer Insights) and Power Platform or equivalent hands-on experience essential (See Position Description for further detail and specific certifications and experience required).
* Bonus: experience in health/aged care, rostering & scheduling, or clinical settings.
